Overview
Portrea is a professional portrait generation application operated by Team Solo ("Portrea," "we," "us," or "our"). Portrea lets you select a reference photo, choose a portrait style, and create an AI-generated image.
We designed Portrea without user accounts. Reference photos and portrait history shown in the app are stored locally on your device unless and until you choose to create a portrait or save an image elsewhere.
Information we process
Photos and generated portraits
When you create a portrait, the reference photo you select is uploaded to our AI processing provider together with the style instructions needed to generate your result. The resulting portrait is returned to the app. Portrea does not use your photos for advertising or sell them.
Device and app information
The app may process limited technical information needed to operate, diagnose failures, and protect the service, such as app version, device platform, network request status, and error information. We do not require your name, email address, or an account to generate a portrait.
Purchase information
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We may receive transaction information from Apple and RevenueCat, such as product identifiers and purchase status. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Support communications
If you contact us, we process the email address and message content you provide so that we can respond.
How we use information
We process information to:
- generate the portrait you request;
- deliver generated results to the app and let you save them;
- manage token purchases;
- maintain security, prevent misuse, and troubleshoot failures;
- respond to support and privacy requests; and
- comply with applicable law.
Where applicable, our legal bases include performing the service you request, your consent for photo processing, our legitimate interests in securing and improving the service, and compliance with legal obligations.
Service providers
We use a limited number of providers to operate Portrea:
- FAL AI provides hosted AI processing and temporary file transfer needed to create portraits.
- RevenueCat helps validate purchase transactions.
- Apple distributes the app and processes App Store payments.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy commitments. Information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, appropriate safeguards apply to international transfers.
Retention and security
Portrea's local reference gallery and portrait history remain on your device until you remove the items or delete the app. Copies you save to your photo library remain there until you delete them.
Photos sent for generation and generated outputs may be retained temporarily by our infrastructure providers to complete the request, maintain service reliability, and meet security or legal obligations. We do not promise a specific provider-side deletion time unless we can verify and enforce it. Support messages and transaction records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for support, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You control which photo is selected and when it is sent for processing. You can remove local reference photos and generated history from within the app, remove saved portraits from your photo library, or delete the app and its local data.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information, or to receive a portable copy. You may also withdraw consent for future processing. To make a request, contact us using the address below. We may need enough information to verify and complete the request.
You may complain to your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been infringed.
Children
Portrea is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through Portrea, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Portrea evolves or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide any additional notice required by law. Your continued use after an update is subject to the revised policy.
